CITY OF BELLINGHAM RFP 32B-2018

BPL/WCLS INTEGRATED LIBRARY SOFTWARE

Notice is hereby given that The City of Bellingham is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) on behalf of Bellingham Public Library (BPL) and Whatcom County Library System (WCLS). The RFP is seeking proposals from vendors for an Integrated Library System (ILS) or Library Management System (LMS) with a browser-based staff client using a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, as well as migration and implementation services.

The replacement system will be simple and intuitive for staff to learn and use, and provide all of the services the current system provides and more. The Vendor will host the system, which will be provided as Software-as-a-Service with a web-based staff interface. It will integrate with BiblioCommons BiblioCore, which our patrons are accustomed to using as their online access to the libraries’ collections. The Vendor will provide superlative customer service, and commit to keeping the system secure and up-to-date within the evolving technology landscape. The Vendor will have a robust development roadmap and will be expected to meet its specified targets.
