Fewer IRS Forms Available at Bellingham Public Library

Due to Internal Revenue Service cutbacks, Bellingham residents seeking printed tax forms will find fewer of them in their public libraries.

Basic forms may be available, but the number will be limited. Instruction booklets will not be available at all. The Tax Forms Outlet Program that supplies the Bellingham Public Library faults the appropriations bill recently passed by Congress, which made significant cuts to the IRS budget.

All BPL locations will have master copies of forms 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, and Schedule A/B and instruction booklets for making photocopies at the library. All income tax materials can be downloaded from the Internet at www.irs.gov/forms. They also can be ordered for delivery by mail at www.irs.gov/orderforms and by phone at 800-829-3676.

Patrons can use library computers, WiFi, and printers to download and print tax materials, and find helpful tax preparation resources.
