Storytimes and Children’s Programs

All Library programs are free of charge. Please read the following list carefully for appropriate ages, days and times. NOTE: Regular storytimes are on a break until July 7.

Builders Club

Monday, June 9, 3:30 – 5:30 pm

Lecture Room, Central Library

For children ages 4 to 12. Unleash the builder in you. Join us for monthly building challenges. All supplies are provided, including Legos, straw connectors, and more. Duplos and other blocks will also be available for younger children.

Wednesday, June 11, 3:00 – 5:00 pm

Fireplace Room, Fairhaven Library

For children ages 4 to 12. Unleash the builder in you. All supplies are provided, including Legos, straw connectors, and more. Duplos and other blocks will also be available for younger children.

Let’s Read! A Middle Grade Book Group

Thursday, June 12, 4:00 – 5:00 pm

Lecture Room, Central Library

For youth in 5th – 8th grade. Please contact Lesley at lsnorman@cob.org for more information.

Are you a middle schooler who would like to hang out and talk about books? If so, join us on the 2nd Thursday of the month for our Middle Grade Book Group. We pick different books, we read them, and then each month we get together to talk about that book and have snacks!

For ages 9 – 14. Do you like crafting? Join us for fun and creative crafting. The program is free, and all snacks and materials are provided. No registration required.

Middle Grade Meet-Up

Tuesday, June 24, 2:00 – 4:00 pm

Lecture Room, Central Library

For youth entering grades 5th – 8th grade in the Fall. Join library staff and members of our Middle Grade Book Group for fun activities, snacks, and lots of talking about books! Registration is not required. All snacks and supplies provided. Questions? Email lsnorman@cob.org

For ages 7 – 11. Join fellow Pokémon fanatics for a Pokémon meet-up. All experience levels welcome! Come with friends or make new ones! Enjoy crafts, games, and other activities. 

Library Card Night @ Bellingham Bells

Kick off Summer Reading with a Library party at the ballpark! Show your library card at the Bellingham Bells gate on June 26 for a free general admission ticket to the home game that night. One ticket per library card.

A bilingual outdoor storytime for kids of all ages and their caregivers/families. Join us for fun stories and songs in both Spanish and English—plus bubbles!
