Visit the Whatcom Museum and the Spark Museum free through your library.
The Bellingham Public Library has partnered with the Whatcom Museum, and the Spark Museum of Electrical Invention to offer complimentary general admission to each museum.
A Museum Pass allows free entry for up to 4 people, valid for use on the date and at the museum selected when registering. Each family is eligible for one pass a month and may select which museum to visit based on availability.
Register for a Museum Pass HERE
- Select the museum of your choice and choose an available date (in green) then enter your name, email address, and library barcode number to register.
- You should receive an email confirmation after registration. The email will contain a pass that you can print and take with you to the museum when you visit.
- When you arrive at the museum you’ve chosen on the date of your reservation, show your confirmation email or printed pass at the museum front desk.
- If you need to cancel your registration, please contact the Bellingham Public Library at 360-778-7323 as soon as possible, so that another family can register for that date.

- Each family is limited to 1 pass per month. You may select which museum to visit based on availability.
- Each pass is good for general admission for up to 4 individuals.

- Pass is valid on selected date only.
- Pass is valid for the selected museum only.
- Pass covers general admission fee only. Additional program fees are not covered.
- Children must be supervised at all times at the museums.
- Passes are reservable 90 days in advance.
- Whatcom Museum: passes are valid at the Whatcom Museum’s Old City Hall and the Lightcatcher building galleries. Check the Whatcom Museum website for hours, current exhibitions, and other details. Please note: the Whatcom Museum offers free admission to everyone on the first Friday of every month.
- Spark Museum: passes are valid for General Admission. Check the Spark Museum website for hours.
