Basic Computer Skills Classes Starting in February at the Bellingham Public Library

The Bellingham Public Library and the Whatcom Literacy Council invite people who cannot afford computer classes to sign-up for new Basic Computer Skills classes on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Feb. 4 – Mar. 25, 2025. The classes will be held in the small Conference Room located on the ground floor of the Central Library and space is limited; pre-registration is required*.

The free classes will be led by a Whatcom Literacy Council volunteer who will use Northstar Digital Literacy lessons to provide instruction on basic computer skills, essential software skills, and using technology in daily life. Each participant will have access to a laptop provided by the Library for the class.

*Pre-registration is required. Participants can sign up for a single class or all 8, as space allows. Separate registration is required for each session, click on the individual class sessions below to register. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, February 4 – March 25. 


Library Basics Tech Coaching Classes

The Bellingham Public Library also offers half-hour, one-to-one Library Basics Tech Coaching sessions with a librarian for patrons who need help accessing the Library’s digital materials. Learn how to download eBooks and eAudiobooks, stream films or music, get started with Mango Languages, or use any of our digital databases on a personal device or computer. Library Basics Tech Coaching sessions are offered every Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required for each half hour session.
